The Sony Ericsson W395 Silver is a phone which is what could be considered evolutionary. Its predecessors have made this phone into what it is today. The previous incarnations of Walkman phones have enabled Sony to fine tune their offering into a unit which could well be the most professional Walkman phone ever produced.

The phone has a TFT display screen which is 2 inches in size and displays 256,000 colours, it has a scratch resistant coating to keep its screen as clear as possible. It comes with an internal memory of 10 Mb which isn't the largest around, but also offers the ability to expand the memory up to a more realistic 4 Gb by utilising the memory stick micro slot. Blue tooth and USB are offered and enable the transferring of files easily and the synchronisation with a PC.

The MP3 player is the main purpose of this phone, Mecate reins it engages its owner with a multitude of features based around music. Whether it's the TrackID music recognition software or its ability to play a whole host of different audio formats, the MP3 player included with this phone is simply outstanding. For alternative musical entertainment an FM stereo radio with RDS is included which allows the owner to tune into local and national radio stations to catch up on the news, sport or radio show.

The phone also comes with a 2 megapixel camera which works at a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels and as such produces images that are consistently clear and of a good quality which also provides a video capture facility to give the owner an option of which to use dependent upon the circumstances.

The Sony Ericsson W395 Silver is an impressively designed slider phone, with its main purpose as a Walkman. However it doesn't disappoint by also providing a raft of additional features that ensures it is a phone which covers all bases. Its stylish design offers a subtle blend of original and classic lines with a futuristic silver sheen which makes this phone all the more appealing.
